MISSION & GOALS

Our mission is to foster a vibrant and nurturing literary community for Black women, children, and families. Founded by two young Black mothers, our book club is dedicated to the advancement of literacy and a love for reading among youth. We are committed to building connections among women through the power of literature, while also promoting positive child-parent relationships.

At the core of our mission is a commitment to giving back to the Black community. We strive to uplift and celebrate Black voices by highlighting Black authors, creating spaces for their stories to shine, and actively engaging in community outreach initiatives.

Through the exploration of literature, we aim to promote vocabulary expansion, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation. By coming together, we intend to empower the next generation of Black leaders, thinkers, and storytellers.
